Welcome to the homepage of the 2014 Graduate Workshop of the American Midwest and Prairies (GWAMP 2014), to be held at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Saturday, October 18, 2014.
GWAMP is a regional workshop for graduate students in linguistics. GWAMP 2014 will consist of two parallel sessions: (i) the semantics workshop SWAMP and (ii) a session focusing on other subfields of linguistics, including phonology, phonetics, and syntax. This year’s SWAMP is part of GWAMP!
After the student sessions, the workshop will conclude with an invited presentation by Itamar Francez of the University of Chicago.
Abstract submission will be handled along the lines traditionally used for SWAMP. For any questions, please contact Nick Fleisher in the UWM Department of Linguistics. We look forward to seeing you in Milwaukee in October!
